Matthew McConaughey Says His Kids Give Life More Meaning

 Many new parents talk about the unimaginable bond they develop with their children, and Matthew McConaughey has become one of those enlightened dads.

The Lincoln Lawyer star, who has son Levi and daughter Vida with girlfriend Camila Alves, said about how his tots have affected him: "I've got more to live for now, that's for sure! Obviously, you stop living as much for 'me' and living for 'we.'"

Aw! McCounaghey also added that no matter what may happen in his career, he's created the best masterpiece he can in his children.

"Now they're my epic. I make films, but...they're my epic," he said.

Not to worry: the athletic actor's washboard abs aren't going anywhere. He told Access Hollywood Live: “I haven’t pulled back on my sense of adventure… a lot of people say, ‘You have children, you have a family, boy, the life you had comes to a screeching halt,’ and you start over. That has not been true for me."

Matthew McConaughey and his girlfriend Camila Alves are quite the adventurers! The actor told a story about their trip to French Polynesia recently and revealed a funny story about their hike.

He said: "We went up to 3,000 feet and I had on hiking shoes and I was all set up and ready to go. Camila was wearing Havaianas sandals and a white skirt. I came down to the bottom of that hill afterward and had blood on me, all muddy … and that girl didn't have a speck of dust on her."

As well as hiking, Matthew – who has children Levi, two, and 13-month-old Vida with Camila – also keeps his body in top shape by using heavy rocks. He explained to Men’s Fitness magazine: "It's not as simple as it seems. You shift the weight from high above your head, in your right arm, then your left, then rest it on your shoulders, adding more weight to your back, then your legs. You get a full-body workout just by finding out how many positions you can manage without having to set the weight on the ground. You also discover the stronger and weaker spots in your physique."
