Stepping out on a gloomy day in the Big Apple, Katie Holmes was spotted leaving her New York City digs on Wednesday afternoon (March 9).

The “Romantics” babe looked cute in flared jeans and heels paired with a khaki-colored trench coat as she made her way out into the bustling city.

Coming up next month on April 3, Holmes’ series “The Kennedys” will be making its debut on ReelzChannel.

The eight-part mini-series features Katie as the beautiful Jacqueline Kennedy and Greg Kinnear as former President John F. Kennedy.

These are photos of Katie Holmes and her mom in Milan, at the Max Mara runway show on Thursday. I like her mom already - she looks animated and pleasant. Katie Holmes, on the other hand… goodness. Katie Holmes is wearing a brown, one-shoulder jumper/jumpsuit/thing from Max Mara.

Should I start with something nice? The color is nice on her. And the fabric choice is rich-looking, especially when you consider that Katie Holmes tends to make expensive clothes look cheap. I will also say that even though Katie Holmes still looks drained, out-of-it and robotic, she is much more animated here with her mother than she ever is with Tom.

Also: I love her manicure, and I love her bag. I want that bag, and Katie Holmes rarely has anything that I want. Now, for the bad stuff. This jumpsuit is made for someone really tall, really thin, with crazy long legs. Katie Holmes simply doesn’t look right in it. But she tries. Bless her heart, she tries.

 

You know what I think the problem is for Katie Holmes and this jumpsuit? It should have been a dress. Imagine that same one-shoulder top, in that color, with that fabric, only it’s knee-length or ankle-length dress. It would look so good on her.

"The Son of No One" in Sundance

Helping to close out another year in Park City, Katie Holmes attended a screening of "The Son Of No One" during the 2011 Sundance Film Festival on Friday evening (January 28),
The "Dawson's Creek" darling looked to be in high spirits as she was joined at the event by James Ransone, Channing Tatum, Jake Cherry, Ray Liotta and director Dito Montiel.

The visit comes after Miss Holmes' movie opened to awful reviews at the annual film extravaganza a few days back.

An attendee told press, "When Katie showed up on screen, there was a collective groan. She plays the wife of a Queens' cop [Tatum] and she was completely miscast. They have her cursing a lot. And when she swore, there were chuckles."


"She was wrong for it. Al Pacino's acting in the movie was intentionally over the top, and he did it with a wink. Most of the cast seemed in on the joke -- except for Katie. She was acting like she was in a dramatic Sundance indie, when it's really just a typical cop movie."

I saw these pictures and just thought they were too cute! Katie Holmes took Suri out shoe shopping, and it looks like Suri knew exactly which ones she liked: the heels .

Something tells me Suri is very much her mother’s daughter when it comes to all things fashion- LOL. Katie even admitted Suri is one of her fashion advisors .

I love how expressive Suri’s face is, don’t you? Just to clarify, I’m sure it was KATIE buying the high heels, and Suri was just tagging along, not Katie buying high heels for Suri- lol.

Katie Holmes talked to Elle magazine about preparing to play the iconic Jackie O. in the History channel miniseries ‘The Kennedys.’ You can read the entire interview in the February issue of Elle, which hits newsstands January 17, but here are some excerpts.
On preparing for the role by watching old footage of the Kennedys:

“[Tom] watched everything with me; he found it fascinating.”

On playing the former first lady:

“I worked as hard as I could, because I loved her. On set there was this feeling that we had to create something very special, because these people were very special.”

On Jackie Kennedy’s strength:

“I didn’t realize that she had lost a child in August and then [Jack] was assassinated in November. I couldn’t believe it. She had so much strength….I loved her love of family, how important it was for her to be a good mother.”

Look at that face! Oh what a doll! Always love to see celebrity babies!
Here’s Rebecca Gayheart at the park yesterday morning with a male friend and daughter Billie Beatrice. Rebecca’s child was already in the park with her nanny and the actress stopped by for some fun. Another celebrity without makeup this morning. Two in one day! I’ll take it!
Rebecca and Billie played on the swings and slide while the nanny took a little break. The actress looked like she was having a blast with her baby girl. It’s such an amazing stage, isn’t it? Everything is new, fun and magical for a child when they are that young. Really sweet…

I always love to see celebrities without makeup on because it reminds me that actresses have imperfections just like the rest of us. In the day and age of Photoshop, it’s sometimes easy to forget.
Here’s Debra Messing leaving a salon with no make up on. She looks pretty surprised to see the paparazzi. Debra’s someone we don’t get to see very often, so this is a real treat.
According to IMDB, the actress has no work lined up for next year. Here’s to hoping she lands a gig and soon! Love that girl.

Katie Holmes, Josh Duhamel and Blair Underwood helped deliver the Golden Globe nomination announcements this morning. I am loving Katie’s look here. So often we see her looking tired, but here she is glowing.

Catherine Zeta-Jones and her mom bundled up and headed out in the cold NYC weather this afternoon. I wonder if celebrities enjoy this weather because it gives them an excuse to pull their scarves up over their faces and avoid the paps a little bit.

‘Dexter’ star Michael C. Hall is seen out and about for the first time since the announcement of his split from wife Jennifer Carpenter.

With Katie’s fashion sense, I bet she buys the BEST presents if she decides to get someone clothes. All I want to know is: where was her regular partner-in-crime, Suri?

Katie Holmes thinks it is "magical" when she brings her daughter to work.

The 31-year-old actress - who has four-year-old Suri with husband Tom Cruise - adores spending time with the youngster and admits she helps keep her spirits high when she's having a bad day.

She said: "It's been really wonderful and I love being a mom. Suri comes to the set with me. She is amazing and it's really fun to share making a movie with her. She brings so much to it.

Katie has spent the past few weeks portraying the late Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis for mini-series 'The Kennedys', alongside Greg Kinnear.

The brunette beauty adored working on the show - which will air on the History Channel next year - because it allowed her to portray the "amazing" woman.

She told TV show 'Access Hollywood': "She was an amazing mother and she was a very strong woman. She did a lot right."

Katie was also delighted with how movie bosses have allowed them to integrate their family life into filming.

She explained: "We've had a lot of fun with all of the kids on set. Everyone brings their kids and we do play dates there and paint pottery. There's always like a million things going on at once and you just do it."

OMG- Katie Holmes looks just like Jackie O. When I first heard she had been cast in this part, I'd been curious about how she'd pull it off, but in the looks department at least, Katie has got the former first lady down pat.

Katie was spotted filming several scenes for 'The Kennedys,' along with Greg Kinnear (you can see him in a couple of the pictures below). Greg also looks just like JFK, doesn't he?
