Helen Mirren to Receive Top CinemaCon Award


Being recognized for her glorious work, Academy Award winner Helen Mirren will be given top honor at the CinemaCon festival's inaugural awards program this month.

The 65-year-old actress, who won an Oscar for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II in 2006, will receive the festival's Career Achievement Award on March 31st.


"CinemaCon's managing director said of the A-lister: "A consummate actress, Helen Mirren has entertained audiences around the globe for over four decades with her stunning performances on the big screen. CinemaCon could not be more honored to present such an amazing actress with the CinemaCon Career Achievement Award.”

Mirren, who also received critical acclaim for her work in "The Madness of Kind George," can next be seen in the Warner Bros. Pictures romantic comedy "Arthur."
